Qualification To Be An Interior Decorator In India

The candidate has to go through the required Certification courses as mentioned above and do internships in Interior Decoration.

The requirement of a license depends on the country as well as the state. However, the candidate has to go through formal training, written and practical exam, and internships. National Council of Interior Design Qualification(NCIDQ) can be approached by some candidates to gain a certificate for the same.

The Architect doesn’t do all jobs alone. He/she does them along with the structural and civil engineers.

  • Discussing the project with the client.
  • Making documents and detailed drawings.
  • Planning the budget, studying the environmental impact, and understanding the limitations of the sites.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • Working with other professionals such as construction managers, building service engineers, technologists, and surveyors.

  • Construction including visiting the sites and participating in the client meetings regularly.

Interior Designing and Decoration aren’t easy. These two professions need changes with time. The candidate must be ready to take responsibilities, should be able to communicate his/her ideas to various people, should be a team player, must be creative, must have problem-solving skills, and much more.
