The countdown to Super Bowl LVIII has begun after the conference championship games. The logo, introduced in February 2023, is an updated version of Super Bowl LVI introduced in 2021. The game was supposed to be in New Orleans, according to an announcement made in 2018. However, the league made some changes in the candidate selection.

Now, the league selects the candidates on merit instead of letting the cities bid for the game, which raised a conflict in New Orleans. Thus, the league shifted to Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, Nevada. It will be conducted for the third time in the Western US in a row.

Each team must possess a ball before the judges declare the winner, and the teams will have an opportunity to do so. A ticket costs $8,533 on Ticketmaster. The possibility of the NFL being scripted is a topic of debate because the predictions turned out true sometimes and false other times.

Super Bowl LVIII Date, Time, and Teams

Super Bowl LVIII will be played on 11 February 2024 (Sunday) at 03:30 PM (PST) between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. Previously, the former defeated the Detroit Lions 34-31 in the NFC, and the latter defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in the AFC. Kyle Shanahan coaches the 49ers, and Andy Reid, the Chiefs.

Previously, the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV in 2020. Thus, there will be a rematch between the two on 11 February. Bill Vinovich, the referee for the previous match, will be the referee in the upcoming and will be the first to administer two Super Bowl matches between the same teams.

Bill debuted in 2015 by presiding over a match between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. After that, he presided over the one between the Chiefs and 49ers in 2020. These are the only two Super Bowl matches he presided over in his career.

An American singer, songwriter, and dancer Usher Raymond IV, will perform the halftime show, but his side performers are not revealed. He released his debut album in 1994 and came into the limelight in the late 1990s after releasing his second album. The halftime show was performed by Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, and Bad Bunny in Super Bowl LIV in 2020.

An American country music singer and actress, Reba Nell McEntire, will sing the National Anthem. More than 75 million records of Reba have been sold throughout the country, and she is called the ‘Queen of Country.’

Super Bowl LVIII Logo Controversy

Twitter was flooded with NFL memes in November 2023, connecting the colors in the Super Bowl logo with the teams playing in the NFL. The first NFL match did not have a logo, but the further matches did. People noticed the purple and red colors in the latest logo that represent the colors used for the Ravens and 49ers, respectively. The same happened with Super Bowl LVI and LVII.
